In short
Getzy doesn’t ask for an account, a name or an email. It sets no cookies: neither advertising nor analytics. The only data processed is what’s needed to run a flight search.
Data processed
- Your search (cities, dates, settings): sent to our price providers to find flights. It appears in the page address so you can share it.
- Your IP address: used to guess your departure city (Travelpayouts geolocation service) and to limit abuse (number of price checks per hour). It isn’t stored in a database.
- Savings found: when a search finds a real saving, the route and prices (without any data about you) are kept to be shown as examples.
- Analytics: page views and a few actions (search started, route opened, click on “Book”) are counted with PostHog, without cookies or storage in your browser. Your IP address isn’t kept: it’s only used to calculate an anonymous identifier, renewed every day. Your browsing is never recorded (no “replay”).
- Local preferences: some settings may be kept in your browser; they aren’t sent to us.
Service providers
- Travelpayouts / Aviasales: flight prices, approximate IP geolocation, booking links (affiliate). A Travelpayouts script is loaded on the site to verify that we own it; according to Travelpayouts, it doesn’t collect personal data.
- Duffel: live price checks (only the searched flights are sent, no personal data).
- CARTO: base maps (your browser downloads map images from their servers, which sends them your IP address).
- Cloudflare: website hosting and security.
- PostHog (hosted in the European Union): cookieless analytics and technical error tracking.
When you click “Book”, you leave Getzy: the booking site’s privacy policy applies.
