How we rank results

What Getzy compares

For a given trip, Getzy compares the single ticket (one booking, connections guaranteed by the airline) with combinations of separate tickets going through stopover cities where flights are cheaper.

Ranking criteria

• Price: only the real price of the tickets. We don’t add any estimated amount: nights on site, visas, checked bags and airport changes are flagged alongside, so you can plan for them yourself.
• Travel time: the total duration, from the first departure to the last arrival. A route that is both more expensive and longer than another is never shown.
• Airport change: the connection must leave enough time to reach the other airport, estimated from the real distance between the two.
• Single ticket: always shown when we know its price, so you can measure the saving.

The animated examples on the home page only show real routes that save at least €30 on tickets.

Where prices come from

Prices come from recent searches made on Aviasales (via Travelpayouts). They may have changed and don’t cover every existing flight. The final price is the one shown on the airline’s or agency’s site when you book: check it before paying.

How Getzy makes money

Getzy is free. Some links are affiliate links: “Book” links to Aviasales, eSIMs (Airalo, Saily) and compensation services (AirHelp, Compensair). If you buy through them, Getzy may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. No result is promoted in exchange for payment: the ranking depends only on the criteria above. Links to Skyscanner and Google Flights are not paid.
